Balancing music and code
People often ask how the same person can spend a morning debugging a Flask API and an evening recording a song or cutting a reaction video. Honestly? They feed each other.
Two kinds of focus
Code is logical and structured — you follow a trail until it makes sense. Music is emotional and loose — you follow a feeling until it lands. Switching between them keeps me sharp instead of drained.
Systems keep me sane
I plan my week, not my day. Deep coding blocks in the morning, creative work at night. I batch recordings so I’m not chasing a camera every evening.
Consistency beats intensity. Small sessions, every day, add up fast.
Avoiding burnout
- One priority per block — no juggling.
- Protect rest; tired work is bad work in both crafts.
- Ship in public — it keeps momentum honest.
If you’re trying to make two passions work: don’t choose. Build a rhythm where both get your best hours, not your leftovers. Listen to what that sounds like on Spotify.
